Transferring PhraseExpander to a new machine

To move PhraseExpander on your new machine and preserve all your data please, follow these steps.

On your new machine

Download and install PhraseExpander

Launch it and install your license key (in case you lost it, you can request it again here).

Click on File → Exit to close the application

On your old machine

Locate your database (the default name is PhraseExpanderData.pedb and it's located in your Documents folder).
Do so by clicking on the database name. PhraseExpander will open the folder containing the database

Copy the PhraseExpanderData.pedb database to the same location on your new machine (by default, it's the Documents folder)

To transfer your settings (optional), open the Run dialog of explorer (by typing WIN+R) and type %appdata%\PhraseExpander\v5

Copy all the files contained there (in particular PhraseExpander.cfg and PhraseExpander.stats) in the same folder of the new machine (You can open the settings folder on your new machine as you did in Step 2).

On your new machine

Once you have copied all the data, as shown above, run PhraseExpander. All your data and settings should be there.

Then you can safely uninstall PhraseExpander from your old machine.
