Make Webroot and PhraseExpander work together

Webroot Secure Anywhere can prevent PhraseExpander from properly detecting abbreviations in the browsers like Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer, but also in other applications, like Microsoft Word. 

This will cause PhraseExpander not to show the proper suggestions as expected.

How to make Webroot SecureAnywhere play nice with PhraseExander

Open Secure Anywhere Setting, by right-clicking on its tray icon and choosing View Status

Click on the Gear icon near Identity Protection

Turn off the Identity Shield

Once you have followed the steps above, PhraseExpander shall detect your typed keystrokes reliably.
